Chirp
CHIRP is
a free, open-source
tool for programming your amateur radio. It supports a large number
of manufacturers and models,
as well
as provides a way to interface
with multiple data sources and formats. I had a fue problems when i
install it on my MX Linux
so I
have done this guide to help you install
chirp on your MX Linux computer
Step 1
Go into Synaptic Then click on settings > repositories Then click New and put the next 3 lines below in the 3 lines http://ppa.launchpad.net/dansmith/chirp-snapshots/ubuntu/ trusty main
then click new again and change the drop down menu so it looks like this
Then run MX Fix GPG Keys
Step 2 In a terminal run the next 2 commands
sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install chirp-daily
then you should be up & running
